1. POP UP AFRICA LATES| London | 4th July 2019

This is a new series hosted by Pop Up Africa. Enjoy a night market filled with African inspired products, food and music in the UK's capital city. Pop Up Africa are known for their annual take overs at Spitalfields Market. If you enjoy that, then think of the 'late' series as your double dosage.



2. 29 Rooms| Chicago USA | 18-28th July 2019

29 rooms is brought to you be Refinery 29. The installation aims to ignite your creativity while exploring 29 new temporary rooms, a space for interaction and exploration through out different locations in the States. Find out more here.


3. POD MEET| South Africa | 4th & 8th July 2019

As part of the Radio Days Africa event and a project of the Wits Radio Academy. Pod Meet Johannesburg is a networking event for people in the media industry and those who wish to start a podcast. Pod`Meet will also be holding the event in Cape Town on July 8th.



 4. Sunday Brunch at Swiss Hotel| Freetown, Sierra Leone | 

We (Y Square Pod) recently went to Swiss Hotel for brunch and were spoilt for choice. Don't miss out on The Swiss Hotel’s sweet and savoury options for brunch, every Sunday between 11am and 3pm.

 5. Love Supreme Festival| Glynde, UK | 5th-7th July 2019

Love Supreme is a Jazz festival that will take place at the Glynde Place in East Sussex. The three day festival hosts four stages including the main stage where the headline acts will perform. Love Supreme is considered one of the top jazz festivals in Europe since it launched in 2013. The festival includes panel discussions, fairgrounds, spoken word acts and more. 6. Nelson Mandela Day | Worldwide | 18th July 2019



Many people and organisations around the globe take part in promoting 'Nelson Mandela Day' which is on the 18th of the July. In celebration of not only his life abut the acknowlegement of the positive change we can also implement around ourselves. The day also highlight action against poverty. 7. Zanzibar International Film Festival | Zanzibar | 7th – 15 July 2019

The Zanzibar International Film Festival is a showcase of short films, documentaries, TV and web series alongside African Animation. The week long event also had workshops, talks and scheduled screenings through out the 7 days. If you are into film and Zanzibar is within reach. This is one event not to miss! 



8. Free Range Art Fair| London | 1st-8th July 2019

Free Range is an annual degree show which showcases the work of selected creative graduates from various universities within the United Kingdom. The location of the show is at the Old Truman Brewery in Shoreditch, East London. The show includes the final projects from graduating students of Photography and Fine Art.
