Join us for the first TELLS TRIPS of 2024 as we visit Ivory Coast for AFCON! Discover Ivorian history, culture, nature, and more as we experience a new country and a cultural event!

About the event: The Africa Cup of Nations, also known as AFCON or CAN, is the main international men's association football competition in Africa. It is sanctioned by the Confederation of African Football and was first held in 1957. Ivory Coast will host the 2024 competition.

6-Day TELLS TRIPS Itinerary:

WEDNESDAY 24th January 2024: Welcome City Tour

On your first day, you will be welcomed with a welcome brunch hosted by TELLS TRIPS. This will be the perfect time to meet the group and try Ivorian food before we head off to the city tour!

THURSDAY 25th January 2024: Grand Bassam

Day two we will explore the historical village that is a UNESCO World Heritage site, Grand Bassam. The old village that was briefly the French colonial capital of Ivory Coast is a 45-minute car journey from Abidjan. We will receive a detailed tour and craft workshop at this location.

In the evening we will go to the popular Ivorian bar, The Pharmacy.

FRIDAY 26th January 2024: Day of rest

This is your day to, rest, lounge, sleep, and shop. The decision is yours! In the words of Mika, ‘Relax, take it easy’.

SATURDAY 27th January 2024: GAME DAY

Today is dedicated to the Africa Cup of Nations! We will support the African teams from either a beach or an inside town venue. To be confirmed in January.

SUNDAY 28th January 2024: Clay Bath Experience/ Eco spa day

From 10 am til 4 pm we will experience the best of Ivory Coast when it comes to self-care, with the experience of the outdoor clay baths and so much more.

In partnership with the critically acclaimed day party event La Sunday Abidjan, all TELLS TRIPS attendees have VIP access to their AFCON party tonight.

MONDAY 29th January 2024: Art Galleries & Museums/ Last Day

On our last day of the trip, we will visit museums and galleries such as Galerie Eureka Abidjan and Musée Des Cultures Contemporaines. The last day will end with a farewell dinner at 7 pm.

Fee: $150-200 per day pass.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  1. Deposits are non-refundable.

  2. 2. Cancellation by guest: Any trip cancellation requests must be received in writing at tellstrips@gmail.com

  3. Cancellation must be communicated at least 10 weeks before the departure date.

  4. You can pay for the trip in full or in a payment plan. The dates will be emailed after booking your deposit. However, if you’d like to arrange a custom plan for your preferred dates, please email us after booking at tellstrips@gmail.com.

  5. These prices are based on shared double occupancy. If you would like a single occupancy during your stay, please contact us at tellstrips@gmail.com before booking to learn more about the additional fee.

  6. Please check your visa eligibility before booking.

  7. If you have any dietary restrictions, please send us an email after booking.
